WSET Level 1 in Wine
A beginner level qualification for anyone seeking a hands-on introduction to wine. Through this short and interactive course, you’ll explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell and taste. You’ll also gain the essential skills to describe wines and make food and wine pairings. Upon completion you’ll gain a globally recognised qualification and the knowledge to help you explore the world of wine with confidence. Highly recommended for people who want to learn more about food and wine matching. This is a one day course set on a weekend day, we try through 7 wines from classic regions and you learn the basics of wine tasting. $350 per person per course.

Common wine grapes and their characteristics
How to store and serve wine
The principles of food and wine pairing
How to describe wine using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT)
Course delivery:
This is a one day course 10:00 - 18:00 on a Saturday, with a mulitple choice exam at the end.

WSET Level 2 in Wine
The most popular wine course on the market. An intermediate level qualification for anyone looking to explore the world of wine. Through an immersive and interactive course, you’ll discover the world’s major grape varieties, the regions where they are grown, and the factors that affect style and quality in wines. Upon completion you’ll gain a globally recognised qualification and the skills to select, taste and describe wines with confidence. This is an 8 week course set on a weekday evening where we try through 40 wines in total learning how to tasting wine at an intermediate level with a multiple choice exam on week 8. $1350 per person per course (instalment pay available).

How to taste and describe wine using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine®(SAT)
How environmental factors, grape-growing, winemaking and maturation options influence the style and quality of wines made from eight principal grape varieties:
Chardonnay
Pinot Grigio/Gris
Sauvignon Blanc
Riesling
Cabernet Sauvignon
Merlot
Pinot Noir
Syrah/Shiraz
The style and quality of wines:
made from 22 regionally important grape varieties
produced in over 70 geographical indications (GIs) around the world
How grape varieties and winemaking processes influence key styles of:
Sparkling wines
Fortified wines
Key labelling terms used to indicate origin, style and quality
Principles and processes involved in the storage and service of wine
Principles of food and wine pairing
Course Delivery:
This qualification has a minimum requirement of 28 hours of study time:
16 hours of delivery time which is based on 2 - 2.5 hours per week for 8 weeks on a Wednesday evenining.
11 hours of personal study and revision recommended to pass the exam
A 1-hour multiple choice examination
